Hear are some interesting statistics I jotted down, while listening to my favorite Naturopath, as well as some great reminders about why we need to keep our blood sugar levels stable.
Men with more than 30% body fat are in or on their way to a diseased state
Women with more than 35% body fat are in or on their way to a diseased state
Maintaining stable blood glucose levels = healthy weight
Allowing your blood sugar to drop to low levels will cause your body to consume muscle. Allowing your blood sugar to rise too high, will cause your body to gain fat.
Easy ways to keep your blood glucose levels in stable:
- Eat high quality foods, low in fat and sugar and nutrient dense.
- Eat frequent meals throughout the day.
- Avoid foods with added sugar and added fats.
- Avoid foods with lots of ingredients listed.
There are many more tips, but following these simple guidelines will help keep your blood sugar, mood, and weight in check!
