I know it sounds crazy, but if there was only one reason for me to continue barre exercise, it might have to be chocolate cake! What do I mean by that? I mean that when you participate in barre workouts consistently, you look smaller, even if your body composition (body fat, BMI, scale) say differently. This is not to say that barre classes won’t improve your body composition, they certainly do. It is to say that when you find yourself knee deep in chocolate cake, resulting in a little weight gain and yes, a little more body fat, you will still look smaller than you did under similar circumstance, while participating in other types of exercise. Now, ask me how I know!
